Issue Summary
This issue presents a collection of research contributions that explore women’s empowerment, education, workplace challenges, and sustainable development. Collectively, the papers highlight equity, inclusion, and empowerment as essential foundations for building a progressive and resilient India.
A central theme in this issue is the role of education in women’s empowerment. Education is shown to enhance confidence, awareness, and the ability to participate in social, political, and economic spheres. The study emphasizes literacy and skill development as critical tools for reducing inequality and advancing sustainable national development. It calls for scholarships, awareness initiatives, and public–private collaborations to expand educational opportunities, especially for rural women, reinforcing that education is vital for strengthening families, communities, and the nation.
Another significant contribution examines women employees in the hospitality sector, with a focus on premium hotels in Hyderabad. Survey findings reveal ongoing challenges including limited promotional opportunities, workplace safety concerns, gender stereotypes, and difficulties balancing work and family life. Despite their growing presence in the industry, women remain underrepresented in leadership roles. The study recommends workplace reforms such as transparent promotion systems, women-friendly policies, childcare facilities, and leadership training to ensure equality and fairness.
Together, these studies reflect the multidimensional nature of empowerment—linking education, workplace equity, and social participation. They underline the need for systemic transformation that positions women as equal stakeholders in development. This issue reaffirms the journal’s commitment to socially relevant and impactful research, encouraging collective action toward women’s empowerment and inclusive growth.
