International Research Stars Journal – Plagiarism Policy
International Research Stars (IRS) Multidisciplinary Journal maintains the highest standards of integrity and originality in scholarly publishing. Plagiarism in any form is strictly prohibited and considered a serious violation of ethical publishing practices.
Definition of Plagiarism
Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to:
Copying another author’s work, ideas, or words without proper citation.
Reproducing figures, tables, data, or images without acknowledgement.
Submitting previously published work (self-plagiarism) without disclosure.
Paraphrasing text without giving due credit to the original source.
Using artificial intelligence–generated content without proper attribution or author oversight.
Plagiarism Screening
All submitted manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software.
A similarity index of more than 15–20% (excluding references, quotations, and standard phrases) may lead to rejection or resubmission.
Authors may be asked to revise and resubmit manuscripts with high similarity before peer review.
Author Responsibility
Authors must ensure that their work is original and properly cited.
If third-party materials are included, appropriate permissions must be obtained.
Authors must disclose prior publications or overlapping work.
Editorial Action in Case of Plagiarism
If plagiarism is detected at any stage (submission, peer review, or post-publication):
The manuscript will be immediately rejected.
If already published, the article will be retracted with a public notice.
The corresponding author’s institution may be informed.
Authors found guilty of repeated plagiarism may be blacklisted from future submissions.
Ethical Commitment
By submitting to IRS, authors affirm that their work is original, properly cited, and free from plagiarism. The journal upholds ethical guidelines recommended by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
