Research Stars Journal
At Research Stars, every submitted manuscript undergoes a structured, transparent, and ethical peer review process to ensure academic quality, originality, and research integrity. The review workflow is designed to support authors while maintaining international publication standards. The journal follows a rigorous and internationally recognized double-anonymized peer-review system to ensure fairness, research integrity, and scholarly quality. The peer-review framework is managed by Research Stars and aligns with international publication ethics standards, including the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
Peer Review Process
Step 1: Manuscript Submission
Authors submit their research manuscripts through the journal submission system along with all required documents, including:
- Manuscript file
- Author details
- Abstract and keywords
- Plagiarism declaration
- Copyright and ethical statements
Before submission, authors are encouraged to carefully review the journal aims, scope, and author guidelines.
Step 2: Administrative Verification
The editorial administration team conducts an initial screening to verify:
- Completeness of submitted files
- Manuscript formatting compliance
- Author information accuracy
- Reference style consistency
- Plagiarism and ethical declarations
If required information is missing, the manuscript is returned to the author for corrections before editorial evaluation.
Step 3: Editor Preliminary Evaluation
The Editor-in-Chief or Handling Editor evaluates the manuscript to determine whether it:
To maintain the highest standards of scholarly integrity and optimize the peer review workflow, all submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous initial screening by the Editorial Office before being sent to external reviewers.
To safeguard scholarly integrity, all submissions undergo a rigorous initial screening by the Editorial Office before peer review. Manuscripts failing to meet baseline criteria are desk-rejected within 7 working days, ensuring rapid feedback.
Core Screening Parameters:
Alignment: Direct fit with the journal’s aims, scope, and relevance.
Standards: Adherence to robust academic, methodological, and ethical publishing practices.
Integrity Checks: Zero tolerance for misconduct. All papers are screened via Turnitin and AI detectors. Submissions must contain at least 80% original content and under 30% AI-generated content. Failures face immediate, unappealable desk rejection.
Possible Outcomes
- Proceed to peer review
- Request technical corrections
- Desk rejection due to scope mismatch or quality concerns
Step 4: Reviewer Assessment
The journal follows a rigorous and internationally recognized double-anonymized peer-review system to ensure fairness, research integrity, and scholarly quality. The peer-review framework is managed by Research Stars and aligns with international publication ethics standards, including the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
Qualified subject experts are invited to review the manuscript based on their specialization and research expertise.
Double-Anonymized Peer Review Process
Papers that pass basic checks are sent for a double-blind peer review by at least two (2) subject-matter experts. Both authors and reviewers remain completely anonymous. Reviewers are chosen based on their expertise and research publications with literature contribution. Author-suggested reviewers may be considered only if they belong to a different institution.
To save the author’s valuable time, the editor initially invites two or three reviewers at the same time. Because reviewers have busy schedules and often decline or ignore invitations, the editor actively manages the process. If reviewers do not accept within the deadline, the editor immediately invites backups. This continues until a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 5 reviewers are actively reviewing the manuscript.
Manuscript Reviewer Assessment Framework
Invited peer reviewers are required to critically appraise all submissions across five foundational dimensions, covering a total of 15 core parameters:
1. Conceptual & Structural Integrity
- Appropriateness of Title: Is the title concise, informative, and reflective of the core study?
- Abstract Clarity: Does the abstract clearly state the research objective, methodology, key findings, and explicit conclusions within the word limit?
- Organization & Logical Flow: Is the manuscript well-organized, logically structured, and partitioned according to standard academic conventions?
2. Theoretical Grounding & Literature
- Originality & Novelty: Does the paper present a genuine novelty in its research question, context, framework, or findings?
- Contribution to the Field: Does the study significantly advance existing theoretical boundaries, or does it merely replicate existing work?
- Literature Soundness: Is the literature review comprehensive, critical, up-to-date, and effective at identifying a distinct research gap?
3. Methodological & Analytical Rigor
- Methodological Clarity: Is the research design, data collection, sampling technique, and framework robust, transparent, and entirely replicable?
- Analytical Soundness: Are the statistical treatments, mathematical models, or qualitative analyses accurate, sound, and properly executed?
- Relevance & Significance: Are the variables, datasets, and analytical tools highly relevant to solving the stated problem?
4. Discussion, Implications & Practicality
- Discussion & Interpretation: Are the empirical results deeply interpreted and thoroughly contrasted against established global literature?
- Theoretical & Managerial Implications: Does the paper provide solid, actionable implications for policy-makers, industry practitioners, or researchers?
- Current Practical Trends: Does the research address contemporary industry trends, current market dynamics, or real-world challenges?
- Conclusion & Future Directions: Is the conclusion clear, and does the paper acknowledge its limitations while suggesting future research paths?
5. Presentation & Documentation
- Linguistic Quality & Readability: Is the manuscript written in clear, precise academic language, free of grammatical errors, and easily readable?
Bibliographic Sufficiency (References): Are the references contemporary, authoritative, accurately formatted, and drawn from high-impact sources?
Step 5: Peer Review Evaluation Report for Revision/Rejecction
Reviewers provide detailed comments and recommendations such as:

The review process is conducted confidentially and ethically to ensure unbiased academic assessment.
Step 6: Author Revision Stage (If revisions)
